Steve Karter

Growing up in the Lonestar state of Texas, Steve became interested in the technical field while working in the oil industry. Having found his passion, he earned his A.S. in Electrical Engineering from ITT Technical Institute, and has not looked back. Steve has 20 years of experience in controls and integration, working with numerous industries throughout his career.

Steve was eager to join the Concept Systems team soon after the company’s inception, saying “The fact that Concept Systems is a systems integrator, that’s what really got me energized.” He went on to explain, “In any given week, I can be working with customers in industries varying from food and beverage, to wood products, to aerospace… it is very exciting! The vast array of technologies we work with produces a challenge that I revere.”

When Steve is not at Concept Systems, he enjoys golfing, whitewater rafting, and cruising on his motorcycle. The proud father of three daughters, his favorite activity is traveling and spending time with his wife of nearly 24 years. “She is my best friend, you can’t beat that.”
